BIU Campus Life Division Staff Holds Staff Training Programme

As part of efforts to train and re-train its workforce, the Director of Campus Life Division of the Institution, Rev. Laurie Idahosa organized a one-day training programme for staff of the unit. The training was aimed at equipping staff of the unit in preparation for the forth coming academic session.

In her address, the Director of Campus Life, Rev. Laiurie Idahosa while appreciating the staff for their dedication and service during the last academic session said, the forth coming academic session will see the launch of a new campaign on campus with the hash tag, ‘Excellent Student Experience’ (ESE). Stressing the need for the staff to improve in their quality of service to the students by making sure that their stay in Benson Idahosa University is remarkable Rev. Laurie said, “every student ‘matter’ in Benson Idahosa University”, while praying God to grant the staff the wisdom needed in dealing with the students.


Resources persons at the training programme include; Mr. Chuks Ezirim who spoke on, ‘Communication Skills’. Mr. Vinton Itoya Okoedo spoke on ‘Professional Office Ethics’. Mr. Williams Idehen spoke on, ‘Customer Service Skills’ and Rev. Laurie Idahosa who spoke on, ‘Excellent Student Experience’. Others were; Dr. Mrs. Abikwi who ‘spoke on, ‘Counselling’. Miss Ugochi Akwiwu spoke on, ‘Fire/Safety Management’ and Mr. Macdonald Uwaifo who spoke on, ‘Crisis Management’

The training programme also featured question and answer session.
