The Management, staff and students of Benson Idahosa University on September 11, 2015 joined the Chancellor, Archbishop M.E Benson Idahosa and the Church of God Mission International big family to commemorate its founder, Archbishop B.A. Idahosa of blessed memory.
Activities marking the event include; a short documentary on the founder, Archbishop B.A. Idahosa, shown during the General Friday Chapel Service at the university auditorium. This was followed by a special thanksgiving by the BIU family to commence the new academic session which has as its theme, “Excellent Student Experience”. The thanksgiving was held at the Church of God Mission International (CGMi), Faith Arena on Sunday September 13, 2015.
The event also featured a special ‘Talent Hunt’ show called “CGMi Got Talent” season 6, which saw Mr. Ejera Mathias, 300L Microbiology student of Benson Idahosa University emerged winner.
The event however climaxed on Sunday evening with a ‘Prayer Rally’ held at the CGMi Balm of Gilead City (BGC), where the BIU family was also visibly present. Ministering at the rally, the Chancellor, Archbishop M.E. Benson Idahosa while recounting the great evangelistic works of the founder, noted that the mission of the Church is founded on evangelism.
She prophetically declared that the Church including all its arms is in its fruiting season as many branches have sprang up several years after the exit of its founder, Archbishop B.A. Idahosa.
The Prayer Rally was capped with mighty miracles, signs and wonders as the power of God flowed through the Chancellor, Archbishop M.E. Benson Idahosa.
