On the 4th of December, 2015, Benson Idahosa University held its 13th Matriculation Ceremony in the main Auditorium of the University.
At the Occasion, over 570 freshmen who were admitted to the University were administered the students’ oath of allegiance as prescribed by the Rules and Regulations stated in the Student’s Handbook.
In his speech, the Vice Chancellor, Prof Ernest B. Izevbigie, congratulated the students for gaining admission into the University, and thanked their parents/guardians for making BIU the Choice for their wards. He assured them that their choice was justified because Benson Idahosa University is a great University which ranks among the best 10 private universities in Nigeria. Moreover, as he stated, Benson Idahosa University is innovation-driven, and this has earned the University the status of being the only African institutional member of the United States National Academy of Inventors (NAI). Prof Izevbigie thereafter advised the students to abide by the Rules and Regulations as stated in the Students’ Handbook. He further advised them to shun any form of violence or reckless behavior.
The Vice Chancellor also congratulated the pioneering students of the Faculty of Engineering and encouraged them to do their best in order to excel in their academic endeavors.
