FACULTY OF BASIC AND 
APPLIED SCIENCES



The Faculty of Basic and Applied Sciences welcomes all stake holders; students, staff, parents, guardian, well wishers etc to this web page.  The Faculty is one of the foundation faculties of the Benson Idahosa University. It was established in January, 2002, when BIU was licensed to operate as a private university in Nigeria. The Faculty's main objective is to be a centre of excellence in various disciplines housed in the departments.

Reflecting on the range of disciplines, the Faculty offers an exciting and very challenging collection of courses. The courses promote a blend of intellectual skills and practical training, which would help open door to a bright career in specialist scientific rears as well as other sections of graduate employment.

The faculty offers the Bachelor of Science degree in Nine (9) disciplines based in two (2) departments.
