NUC Accreditation Team Lauds Benson Idahosa University
The four day National Universities Commission (NUC) Accreditation exercise which began on Monday June 22nd came to an end on Thursday June 23, 2015. The 24 man-team which had representatives of various discipline heading in their separate report presentations to the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Ernest B. Izevbigie , expressed satisfaction at their findings, saying that the university truly reflects transparency and reflects its Core Values, adding that the university is truly faith in action.
Highlighting the various satisfactory areas of assessment which include, Staff structure, Philosophy and objectives of all programmes, Curriculum of programme, Admission requirement, Academic regulations, Course evaluation for students, Staff development, Library holdings, and University domain, the NUC team commended the University Management, while calling for constant improvement in facilities, academic standards and Staff development
. They however expressed their appreciation to the university Management for the warm reception received while the exercise lasted and re-assured Management of the National Universities Commission’s support in terms of quality assurance at all times.
