A four man team from the National Universities Commission (NUC), made up of Prof. Ibiyimi Tunji, Vice Chancellor, Achievers University, Prof. Hamisu Mohammed, Former Vice Chancellor, ATBU Bauchi, Prof. Sadiku Salawu, Dean Faculty of Engineering, F.U.T., Minna, and Mr. Shettima Baba, was on campus recently for a resource verification of the Faculty of Engineering.
Presenting their exit report after the two-day rigorous exercise, the leader of the team, Prof. Hamisu Mohammed, commended the institution for the ongoing construction of the Engineering Faculty building complex. He spoke further on the need for management to ensure that workshops and laboratories are made available for the students. The NUC team leader expressed satisfaction at the University’s adherence to quality assurance, and NUC guidelines for curricula, staffing and facilities, while appreciating the University Management for their hospitality.
Meanwhile, approval has been granted to Benson Idahosa University to commence the Faculty of Engineering. In accordance, the under listed programmes are to be offered in the Faculty; Civil Engineering, (B.Eng.), Electrical/Electronic Engineering, (B.Eng.), and Mechanical Engineering, (B.Eng.).
