Team BIU Represents Nigeria at World University Games 2015
Benson Idahosa University is again making history as three of its students; Augustina Sunday, a 300L English Studies student, Odion Atafo, a 200L Sociology student and Victor Mankuju, a 400L Economics student are amongst the Nigerian delegates representing Nigeria in South Korea this summer at the 28th edition of the International University Games in South Korea.
The trio will be participating in Badminton, playing alongside other sporting nationals across the globe.
Team BIU hopes to make it big at the event as Augustina Sunday, who is currently ranked top in Nigeria, representing the nation at the Uganda International Championship and the Ethiopian International Championship in 2014, clinching silver medals says, “the team is optimistic and looks forward to a good outing at the games”. She however looks forward to playing at the All African Games and the Olympics in 2016.
