Convocation Clearance

1. Go to the university portal biu.edu.ng
2. Click on the ‘CONVOCATION’ page.
3. Then click on ‘CONVOCATION CLEARANCE PAGE’ (http://alumni.biu.edu.ng/).
4. Click on ‘BECOME A MEMBER’.
5. You will instantly get an email with a transaction ID, your username and password and the convocation fee break down.
6. Print out the transaction ID information in your emailortake ID to the banks.
7. Go to any of the designated bank; FIDELITY BANK, FIRST BANK, UBA BANK.
8. Ask for the teller to consummate the payment on interswitch for Benson Idahosa University(GRADUATE SCHEME)’.
9. Once bank transaction is successful, you can now sign into the portal by clicking on the ‘sign in’ button.
10. On the menu click on the ‘profile’ link to see your profile.
11. Click on the ‘clearance form’ button to print your clearances form which would be cleared in various departments as stated on the form.
12. After payment the clearance page will be enabled for printout.
13. CLEARANCE WILL BE HELD IN LECTURE ROOMS 1 & 2 (FBAS)

1.  Clearance process
   • Commencement for clearance starts on 13th July, 2015
   • Clearance from Department/Faculty & Library Date: 13th – 14th July, 2015
   • Clearance from Campus Life/Life Success/Health Plus: 14th – 15th July, 2015
   • Clearance from Student Affairs/Bursary/Debt Recovery: 15th -16th July, 2015
   • Collection/Issuing of Academic Gown from Students Affairs to Grandaunts: Thursday 16th July, 2015 after Convocation Service – Friday 17th  July, 2015 after Convocation Lecture.
