Management team lead by the Deputy Vice Chancellor, Prof. Sam Guobadia, was on site to assess the ongoing construction work. A team of professional engineers were seen working assiduously.

Addressing the engineers, the Deputy Vice Chancellor commended them for their professional skills and spate at which the work is being undertaken, adding that he is very optimistic that the team would meet the deadline earmarked for the completion of the project.

Once completed, the Engineering complex is expected to house Civil, Electrical Electronics, and Mechanical Engineering departments. Its 48-room room hostel facility is expected to house 192 students. At the moment, two out of the proposed ten blocks of hostel facility are 98% completed and standing tall.

It is no longer news that the construction of the Faculty of Engineering has been made possible by the generous donation (gift) of Rev. (Dr.) Chris Oyakhilome. The Faculty has been named after the preacher-philanthropist after showing such act of uncommon generosity.
