Benson Idahosa University June 2020 - Benson Idahosa University

Archives for the Month: June 2020

Never before has the world witnessed a pandemic with impact of these global proportions such as the ravaging effects of COVID-19. It is deeply affecting lives and economies all over the world.

At Benson Idahosa University, we continue to pray for the safety of all staff, students, and alumni.

There have been recent reports of criminals attacking and raping students who go out of their homes for good reasons and we urge all our students to be vigilant because many will exploit the weaknesses and hardships created by Covid-19.

As you become diligent in ensuring your personal safety from crime, we also implore you to be responsible with your health and safety.

Maintain social distancing, wear your mask when you venture outdoors and wash your hands constantly to avoid picking up the corona virus through droplets from others.

If you become ill and have any of the symptoms of the virus, we advise you to call the hotline in your state and go for testing. Early testing can lead to better treatment and more optimal outcomes.

Finally, report any incidences that are suspicious and threaten your safety, especially around our university campuses.  We also will continue to be vigilant in doing all we can to protect the safety and lives of our students and staff.

Stay safe and stay blessed.
