It is one thing to be known and another to be loved. For the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Ernest B. Izevbigie, the BIU big family demonstrated their show of love, empathy and support; as he and his siblings bids farewell to their late father, Pa Benjamin Ikponmwosa Egharevba Izevbigie who passed on at the age of 90.
The school of Basic and Applied Studies has gone into a robust partnership with the National Business and Technical Board (NABTEB). This collaboration was facilitated at a meeting between both parties at the university recently.
This is to notify staff and students that resumption date for the 2016/2017 academic session has been scheduled for Sunday September 4, 2016.
Registration process for all categories of students will commence on Monday September 5, 2016.
Admission exercise is however ongoing.
Matriculation comes up in December, 2016.
Meanwhile, the University Management has held a one-day orientation programme for its teaming staff, in preparation for the new academic session. Topical issues handled by resource persons within and outside the Institution include: ICT Requirements for the 2016/2017 academic session, Corporate Image and Performance Management. Others include: Leadership, as well as; Health and Staff Performance.
In a similar development, the Director of Campus Life Division, Rev. Laurie Idahosa and her team held a one-day orientation programmed for the newly appointed student leaders.
The International Leadership Idea Exchange programme (ILIX), ‘Thinker’s Nest, hosted by the President, Bishop F.E.B Idahosa has held a two-day political platform for the candidates of the All Progressive Congress Party (APC), Mr. Godwin Obaseki, and Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu; of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP).
