Embracing the ethos of diversity and inclusivity, BIU hosts a myriad of cultural presentations that transcend boundaries and ignite a spirit of curiosity and appreciation among its student body. The cultural presentations encompass a wide array of expressions, ranging from the exploration of language and traditional dressings to the tantalizing tastes of authentic cuisines. Through these immersive experiences, students are afforded the opportunity to connect with their roots on a profound level, enriching their academic journey with a sense of belonging and pride in their heritage. As a testament to the commitment to excellence and cultural appreciation, prizes are awarded to the cultural groups that demonstrate outstanding performances. These accolades serve as a testament to the dedication and creativity exhibited by students in their exploration and celebration of culture. The culmination of this cultural extravaganza came to fruition in the 2023/2024 first semester, as BIU campuses buzzed with the excitement of the colourful cultural competition. From the in-coming part-time students at the heritage campus to the esteemed members of the Faculty of Science and Management Sciences (FSMS) and other faculties at the legacy campus, each presentation was a testament to the diversity and richness of our cultural heritage. Through these cultural presentations, Benson Idahosa University not only celebrates diversity but also fosters a sense of unity and mutual respect among its
students. As we continue to embrace and celebrate our cultural identities, we reinforce the notion that diversity is our greatest strength, and unity in diversity is the cornerstone of our collective journey towards enlightenment and progress.
