Prof. Johnson O. Oyedeji (PhD, RAS)

Johnson Olajide Oyedeji (PhD) is a Professor of Animal Production with specialty in Monogastric Animal Nutrition. An alumnus of the prestigious University of Ilorin, having received his undergraduate and post graduate trainings in the highly rated university. Professor Oyedeji is an accomplished teacher and researcher who has trained many undergraduate and postgraduate students up to the level of Doctoral degrees. Aside from publishing in high impact national and foreign journals, he has won prizes as a researcher. One of such was his recognition by the National Universities Commission (NUC) of Nigeria as conducting and presenting a research of high standard with relevance to National Development during the Research Fairs organised by the NUC in 2004 and 2005. He was also a University of Ilorin as well as Federal Government of Nigeria Scholar.

Professor Oyedeji belongs to many Learned and Professional Associations. Such associations include Nigerian Society of Animal Production (NSAP), Animal Science Association of Nigeria (ASAN), Nigerian Institute of Animal Science (NIAS) where he is a Registered Animal Scientist (RAS) and World Poultry Association (WPA), Nigerian Branch to mention a few. Professor is an experienced university Administrator. He has served in various capacities within and outside the university. He has served as Head of Department, Dean of Faculties, Dean of School of Postgraduate Studies, one time Acting Vice Chancellor, Chairman of various university committees and others. He has also served as a visiting professor, assessor and external examiner to other sister universities. Professor Oyedeji is also an ordained clergy (Venerable) in the Church of Nigeria, Anglican Communion.
