In line with its mission of raising leaders who are complete in spirit, mind and body; with a core purpose to change Nigeria, the university management on Tuesday September 8, 2015 inaugurated the Student Interactive Forum. The inauguration of the student interactive forum which is the first of its kind in the history of Benson Idahosa University began with the introduction of the newly constituted student leaders.

Speaking at the forum, the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Ernest B. Izevbigie congratulating the student leaders, charged them to take their responsibilities seriously. He noted that having been selected as student leaders among the lot, it affords them the opportunity to shine, as well as help build their resume even after graduating from the university. The Vice Chancellor therefore prayed God to grant the newly constituted student leaders the wisdom to discharge their responsibilities effectively.

Also speaking, the Deputy Vice Chancellor, Prof. Sam Guobadia said as part of management’s resolve to ensure that students have the ‘Excellent Student Experience’ in the new academic session, the Student Interactive Forum will create an opportunity for management to continue to interface with the students. This he said will enable management listen to the complaints of the students, make adjustment where the need arises as well as proffer solutions where necessary. He therefore urged the leaders to effectively communicate back to the main student body their interactions with management at all times, adding that it will go a long way to checkmate issues of rumor among students on campus.
