Chancellor Commends Staff members for their Dedication

The Chancellor, Archbishop Margaret Idahosa has commended staff members of Benson Idahosa University for their commitment, hard work and dedication towards attaining the mandates of the University.

She made the commendation when she paid an official visit to the Campus, to interact with staff members and kick-start the New Year with prayers.

Speaking during the interactive session, she commended Staff members for remaining steadfast in the dispatch of their duties. She further expressed satisfaction on the leadership of Professor Sam Guobadia.

Dr. Margaret Idahosa, who praised the Management for the giant developmental strides recorded, described the cooperation of Principal Officers as unique and commended staff members for their unflinching loyalty and unswerving allegiance.

“I want to express my gratitude to the President, Vice Chancellor, Deans, Directors and Heads of Departments for all that you have being doing. I want to let you know that God is happy; I know God is happy because I am happy. Thank you for not paralyzing your post,” she said.

The Archbishop assured the Vice-Chancellor of her continuous support at all times in order to make the University a world-class citadel of learning where students would be equipped with innovative skills; thus contributing to the production of high-level leadership and quality manpower for the nation and the world.

She urged staff members to make sure the word of God remains the driving force of the University, as the institution is laid on the foundation of Christ that cannot be broken.

Furthermore, she thanked staff members for not encouraging cultism in the institution, reiterating that Archbishop Benson Idahosa placed a standing curse on whosoever introduces cultism into the University.

She said: “Before Archbishop Benson Idahosa left, he went round all the universities in Nigeria, with one message; Cultism is dangerous. I have come to thank you all for saying no to cultism, not forgetting that the Archbishop placed a standing curse on offenders, which is madness without cure.”

The Vice Chancellor of Benson Idahosa University, Prof. Sam Guobadia who appreciated the Chancellor for being a great leader, thanked her for coming and promised that his administration will take the University to enviable heights.

Special prayers were offered for the University to kick-start the new semester.
