Admission Requirements Medicine

UTME Entry Mode

Admission to the pre-degree courses in Medicine at the Benson Idahosa
University will be by the Joint Admission Matriculation Board (JAMB) entrance
examination. Candidates to be admitted into the degree programs shall possess
a credit pass in each of the following; Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Mathematics,
and English language at the SSCE, WASC, GCE ‘O’ level, NECO, or its
equivalent at one sitting.

Direct Entry Mode

Candidates for Direct Entry to the degree course in Medicine must satisfy the
matriculation requirements as stated for candidates seeking admission to the
preliminary course and additionally satisfy the school requirements as follows:

1. Candidates who possess relevant ‘A’ levels in Physics, Chemistry and
   Biology/Zoology (not less than one C Grade or minimum of 12 points) at
   NO MORE THAN ONE SITTING.
2. At least a Second-Class Upper Division from a recognized University in
   any of the following;
   • B.Scs. Biological Sciences
   • B.Scs. Medical Sciences

All ‘O’ Level credit passes must predate the Matriculation for the first
degree program.
